About Descendents of Margaret (Lascelles) Metcalfe
This is a project I am doing, tracing the ’direct bloodline descendants’ and the ‘direct bloodline living’ Descendents of Margaret Metcalfe, from 1672 to Present.

Margaret Metcalfe is a 'direct descendent' of Edward III of England, as stated in the Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal ‘The MORTIMER, PERCY’ Volume, PART: 1, P6, Table V, by the Marquis of Ruvigny and Raineval, published 1911 by Melville & Company, London.

Hence, I have also included Margarets documented ‘direct bloodline’ lineage, back to Edward III.

Margaret Metcalfe was baptised in St Olaves, Yorkshire, England, in 1665, (although probably born before this year) and was the daughter of Sir William Metcalfe and Anne Marwood. Margaret was one of ten children, born to William and Anne.

Margaret died in 1690 and was buried 20 Dec 1690, the same day that her twins, Henry Lascelles and Hannah Lascelles, born 1690, were baptised.

Margaret Metcalfe, was the first wife of Daniel Lascelles M.P. (1655-1734), from 1672-1690 and together they had a total of 'nine' children, of whom only 'four' survived into adulthood.

The four 'surviving' children, were:

*GEORGE LASCELLES 1681-1728/9 - Married, Had Issue.
*MARY LASCELLES 1683-1727 - Married, Had Issue.
*HENRY LASCELLES 1690-1756 - Married, Had Issue.
*ELIZABETH LASCELLES abt 1688 - Married, Issue If any, Unknown.

And it is the ‘descendents’ of these four surviving children, the site focuses on.

A lot of work and a lot of my time has been spent compiling this project and particularly given I am a ‘direct bloodline descendent’ of Margaret Metcalfe myself and through my Lascelles Great Grandmother x2. So I have taken every care and aimed to ensure it’s accuracy.

All connections are backed up with multiple and credible sources, in the form of birth, marriage and Census records and various online sources/genealogical sources, that are noted to be credible.

Of course, not all of Margaret Metcalfes ‘direct bloodline descendents’ have been found yet, many are still unaccounted for and some will never be found.

If you are a 'direct bloodline descendent' of Margaret Metcalfe and do not see your family surname included here, please free to let me know about your connection, providing solid and credible sources ie: your lineage to Margaret and I will add it here.
